A beautiful little antique Chinese embroidery purse, the embroidery is beautiful and tiny, worked in coloured and gold threads depicting Lotus blossom on a blue silk ground. This houses a crystal amulet called a Bi, pronounced "Bee" traditionally for good luck and health, this is carved from a single piece with a hole to the centre, knotted on a silk cord.  

 

There is one tiny hole to edge on the right hand side and some slight discoloration to the blue silk inside where the amulet sits, commensurate with age and mentioned for complete accuracy otherwise in very good condition with the embroidery worked in different shades of gold thread. Measuring ( amulet ) 5 cm in diameter ( purse ) 8.5 cm high x 8 cm wide approx.
