A beautiful pair of Edwardian hat pins with beautiful vibrant blue engine turned enamel to the centre set into mother of Pearl within a gilded metal setting.  Unusual in that they can be released from the pins to also be used as collar studs or buttons. No box so unfortunately we don't know the maker but I can imagine it was someone good. Some patination to the original pins which is commensurate with age and there are a couple of little stress cracks to one on the mother of pearl when angled to the light and a little tiny chip on the mother of pearl on the other, the enamel panels are very good and engine turned to give a starburst appearance, otherwise in good all original condition and they display beautifully.  Measuring (tops) 3.5 cm in diameter (pins) 22 cm & 25 cm long approx.
