This is an antique ironstone talking plate made by Creil and Montereau in the late 1800s. They were decorated by Charles Hamlet in the series 'Bains de mer' and depict classic stories from Ancient Greece comically interpreted. This has a little chip to the underside which in no way detracts from this unusual item, mentioned for complete accuracy.
